A neat, attractive appearance helps as the job holder may be called on to make on-screen or other public appearances. Responsibilities will depend on the size and location of the station, and entry-level qualifications usually include a relevant degree or previous experience, perhaps in a community or campus radio or video station.
Starting salaries depend on the location and size of the station, as well as on previous experience, beginning at around C
$25,000. For higher-level positions in large organisations, up to C
$50,000 or more is common.
