A physiotherapy assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in what can often be a physically demanding area of the medical profession. They are specifically trained to aid physiotherapists in helping those who have had their ability to function impaired.
The main task of a PTA is to help patients follow a set program of treatment and to achieve the goals set out by the physiotherapist.
