Warehouse

As handlers of important products and physical company assets, warehouse professionals must have a good eye for detail and often need to be in reasonable physical condition. There are numerous different roles in this line of work, ranging from managers, associates and distribution specialists to those commissioned with managing inventory databases.
Each position will entail specific duties. However, many posts will involve daily tasks such as forklift operation, conducting inventory checks, order picking, packing, preparing paperwork, loading and unloading delivery vehicles and using specialized computer software and devices for product tracking and inventory purposes. Experience is typically the most important requirement for this line of work, though forklift certification and hazardous material training are sometimes required.
Salaries for warehouse personnel in Canada see a high degree of variation and are correlated mostly to experience and the level of responsibility associated with the position. Managers and supervisors typically make between
$30,000 and
$65,000 per annum, whilst lower-level posts usually fetch between
$20,000 and
$45,000 per annum.
