Service Manager
One of the senior roles in a company is the service manager, the person who ensures that every customer gets the level of service they deserve. Sometimes called a service delivery manager or a SLA manager, they must have excellent multitasking ability and good leadership qualities.
Training in strategy development and negotiating experience are considered useful skills by employers. The responsibilities of a service manager include overseeing the quality of customers’ service level agreements, attending meetings and providing reports when needed. Building relationships with new customers is another facet of this position.
This is a target-driven job that is often stressful and demanding. The service manager is ultimately responsible when company goals are not met. While many managers are hired from within a company through promotions, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred for initial hires. Salaries vary widely depending on the size of the company, the person’s experience and the job location, but the average annual salary is C
