Quality

People working in the quality assurance departments of manufacturing companies are an invaluable asset to production operations. The success of company products depends on the dedication and attention to detail of the product inspectors and supervisors.
Dependant on a company’s particular manufacturing operation, candidates for vacancies in the quality field will be involved with all processes from raw materials handling right through to the moment the finished articles are packaged. Job holders are required to inspect products during the production process and to resolve any problems that arise.
Successful applicants will ideally hold a Bachelors level degree in engineering or a subject relevant to the specific position they are applying for. Incumbents also need to have good analytical and communications skills, as well as an eye for detail. Other requirements are tracking software and Microsoft Windows reports and spreadsheet experience.
Salaries for professionals in this field range from around C
$60,000 to C
$90,000 per annum. The exact salary offered will be influenced by location and the applicant’s level of expertise. There are openings in most major Canadian cities, including Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
