Qa Analyst
The role of a Qa analyst is vital within the IT industry, as they take into account the data received from feedback of testers and present it to the software developers. This role is important in the creation of a simple-to-use and error-free end product.
The role differs from that of a tester, as the analyst must correlate the findings of the test and return the feedback to the developers, providing statistics and figures. Such information generally consists of the useability and difficulties faced when using the program.
A Qa analyst uses multiple disciplines in their role. Many working in this position have extensive backgrounds in the IT industry, as well as experience dealing with systems analysis. This helps with correlating data and presenting the information based on experience and skills in the field.
The pay scale for a Qa analyst varies and is generally on a per project basis. A degree in computer science or business administration is advantageous, while a sound knowledge of computer programming is a key attribute.
