Maintenance Manager

This position is a significant role in any organization because the job holder is in charge of the entire maintenance and upkeep of a facility. Those in such roles must execute their organizational and administrative skills to ensure all maintenance activities are completed seamlessly. The position holder is largely responsible for maintaining the organization’s quality and standards.
Tasks which the person in the role will be responsible for are conducting regular checks throughout the facility, ensuring that all electrical systems and units are functioning properly, leading a subordinate’s team and assigning work areas to them, and thereafter evaluating their performance.
Administrative duties are also required, such as keeping a day-to-day record of maintenance and service activities and placing orders for equipment which needs to be replaced and kept as spare parts. The role may require the recruitment of maintenance personnel.
To be able to fill the position of maintenance manager, a bachelor’s or associate’s degree or a diploma in personnel management, administration or a related field of study along with two to three years of experience is required. The salary for the role depends on experience, with pay ranging from C
$68,000 to as high as C
$95,000.
