A business development manager must be highly motivated and skilled in a number of areas, as the worker will have the responsibility of growing the company. The individual will be expected to help the company progress in both financial terms and relating to customer awareness of the product.
The worker will focus on bringing in new customers, increasing brand awareness, and coordinating efforts concerning public relations. The job holder will also be required to supervise and direct employees, working towards leading staff to achieve financial and growth targets.
Other responsibilities may include working towards improving the proposal process’s management and success rate of proposal activity, raising the company’s profile through engagements with clients, identifying and closing revenue opportunities, and making others aware of the importance of business development to the company.
Employers expect a minimum of a Bachelors degree in marketing, business or a related field. However, large companies may require a Master of Business aAdministration (MBA). A business development manager can earn up to C
