An account executive working within sales must be able to execute results against strategy as well as meet critical deadlines. The roles requires the individual to generate revenue by developing market potential through lead generation, prospecting, proposing solutions, qualifying opportunities, forecasting, and closing sales.
Responsibilities include meeting established sales quota, identifying market potential through qualifying accounts, initiating sales processes by scheduling appointments, prospecting, making initial presentations, developing proposals, understanding business needs and then closing sales. Expanding sales in existing clients’ accounts by introducing additional services and solutions is also a key duty.
The worker will also be required to contribute information relating to market strategy by monitoring competitive products as well as clients’ reaction, and recommend new services and solutions by evaluating current solutions. Excellent presentation and communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure and strong organisational skills are also necessary.
