Machine operators will generally have a role in a factory, controlling specific machines which produce consumer goods in mass quantity. A variety of different responsibilities come under this role, such as making sure the machines are in good working order and maintaining and operating the machines while they are producing the products. The machine will be monitored throughout the day for any errors that may occur.
Attributes such as the ability to keep attention to detail during monotonous tasks and the ability to work as an individual or as a part of a team are vital in this position. The candidate will also need to be disciplined and act accordingly to health and safety regulations.
No formal education is required; however, vocational training in mechanics or equivalent would be desirable to an employer. Additionally, any previous experience working machines will be valuable to a job applicant. The salary for this position ranges between C
