Engineering Technician

Working alongside the manager of development engineering, the engineering technician will assist in technical submissions and review them with other engineers. The role requires servicing, designing and costing for the submissions. The technician is responsible for handling and maintaining the database filing system, as well as responding to customer requests for technical submissions.
The engineering technician is expected to have a college diploma in engineering technology (CET), with the designation of OACETT. Experience is preferred, usually of three years, in roads, water-mains and sewerage. The candidate must be proficient in interpreting drawings and understanding engineering principles, have excellent written and verbal communication, good personnel and decision-making skills, and be analytical.
Computer proficiency is required, such as in MS Office, and it is important for the job holder to have a driver's license due to site visits. The compensation for such a role has a median average of C
$50,260 before any incentives, bonuses or profit sharing.
