Driving Instructor
The role of the driving instructor is to install confidence and improve the technique of beginner drivers so that they might become qualified. The instruction revolves around safe and sensible driving. To forge a career out of this profession, a clean driving license for four years, a clean criminal record, and the completion of a government-approved driving instructor course is needed.
The duties of the driving instructor are to introduce new drivers to the controls of the car and to prep them in the correct driving technique for their driving test. A calm and friendly approach is necessary in order to install confidence in learners. The job involves monitoring students’ progress and putting students forward for their test when they are ready.
Most of the job holder’s time is spent in the car, meaning they will be enclosed in a small space for long periods of time. It is important to have knowledge of car mechanics and the traffic laws of the province of work in order to pass this information on to students. Typically the salary for this job is between C
