Courier Driver

A courier driver must keep safety as their top priority whilst still adhering to tight deadlines. They must also handle items with the utmost care, since business and public sector organizations consistently entrust these individuals to transport some of their most important items and documents quickly and safely.
Applicants for the role may need a commercial drivers license, though many companies utilize small delivery vehicles or employees’ personal automobiles for daily operations; in which case, a only a standard drivers license and a good driving record are required.
Jobseekers may also need to be able to lift heavy packages and, although formal education requirements are rare, they may need to undergo on-the-job training for handling certain types of items. Many posts require a personal transport vehicle as well as ample insurance coverage for work-related duties.
Canadian courier drivers typically earn between
$20,000 and
$45,000 per annum, though the average figure has been in the neighbourhood of
$27,000 in recent years.
