Tutor

A tutor's main responsibility is to assist the client with a particular area of study, ironing out any difficulties they are having. It is normal for the job holder to spend a couple of hours a week with their student, helping them with any school or college work they are struggling with. There are no formal qualifications needed, but usually candidates are hired privately on the strength of their qualifications or occupation.
It is difficult to forge a career out of this profession, so normally people have a main job and work as a tutor to earn some extra money. Persons qualified for this job usually advertise their services locally or online and travel to the student’s house or meet at an agreed location. Evaluating the student's strengths and weaknesses at the first meeting is necessary, and in subsequent meetings, planning and conducting one-on-one lessons to help resolve said weaknesses is needed.
A patient and understanding personality is necessary, and it is important to motivate the student and inspire confidence. The age range of students depends on the tutor and what they feel comfortable teaching. The onus is mostly on the student to provide the learning materials.
A normal wage for such a job begins at C
$15 an hour and can rise depending on the reputation of the tutor.
