A recruiter is employed to fill jobs or positions within, or on behalf, a corporation, organisation or team. Recruiters generally work in an outsourced capacity in a role that comes under the umbrella of human resources. A recruiter generally works for multiple clients at the one time, while top level job holders within the corporate world are often known as head-hunters.
There are many different types of recruiters. An internal recruiter who works within a large company is responsible for recognising talents. This person usually works fulltime within the HR department of a company. Third-party job holders work for a recruitment agency, while others work in the area of executive search.
The qualifications of a recruiter vary depending on the position, with most requiring a Bachelors degree in a related field. While the entry level salary for this job is around C
$30,000 a year, head-hunters working on behalf of some of the country’s largest corporations can earn in excess of C
