A project manager working in the project management sector of the banking industry and is responsible for planning a project and overseeing its completion. The role involves juggling more than one project at a time and as such, the candidate must be able to prioritize.
A project manager must be able to generate and maintain a budget, allocate staff specific roles and oversee the project to ensure that it is completed to deadline. Once the project is complete, the manager will then be responsible for organizing a meeting with the team to discuss the results and evaluate the project’s success.
It is essential for applicants for this role to hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least three or four years’ experience in project management. The skills required for this role include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, leadership qualities and financial and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be confident in resolving conflicting situations and have good computer knowledge, and must be experienced in management and development.
A successful candidate can expect to be paid a salary of C
$72,000 to C
$148,000, with the opportunity of a bonus ranging between C
$1,000 and C
$30,000.
