Piping Designer
A piping designer is a highly skilled IT position that involves programming with graphic design. The role involves creating 3D images using various software applications to aid architects and the design of structures and buildings.
Working with powerful computer software, such as AutoCad3D and Bentley Autoplant 3D design, the designer’s task is to turn a blue print into a 3D image. This image can then be used for exhibition or presentation.
Piping designers must work collaboratively as a team with designers and architects in order to complete their assigned task successfully. Key skills in this position include a thorough knowledge of design and construction values. The role also involves sketching plans and rough drafts prior to creating the 3D image on computer.
A piping designer should have a strong background in graphic design and computing as well as experience working with 3D design software. The average income for a specialist in this field is in the range of C
