Marketing Manager

A company’s marketing manager plays a key role the direct promotion of products and services to the general public. They will need to be innovative, while constantly seeking out new and creative ways to market their company’s product.
The organisation’s marketing manager should have a good working knowledge of the business objectives, while strictly adhering to the company’s mission statement. Key responsibilities include ensuring that the media is constantly informed with updates and products releases, while deflecting any negative attention. They will oversee the marketing department and take on a managerial role, ensuring that the department’s objectives are met.
A prospective applicant will need to approach their work in an organised and analytical way. They should be confident, with the ability to solve a range of problems when managing a large team. Good communication skills are essential.
Nearly all employers will demand a Bachelors degree in marketing or a closely related field. However, the most successful candidates will often have a Masters degree and at least five years’ experience in the field. The average salary for this position is C
