Loader

The position commonly referred to as loader requires individuals with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment whilst being exceptionally cautious of safety standards and personal wellbeing. This productive position in logistics also requires a good level of physical fitness, as manual lifting if often required; although it is typically aided by forklifts, hoists and other forms of machinery.
In addition to carefully placing and removing stock from delivery vehicles and warehouse storage locations, a loader is often also required to issue paperwork, produce shipping reports and operate inventory software.
Extensive experience is generally the most attractive asset for a jobseeker to have, and formal educational requirements (other than a high-school diploma or GED) are rare. An on-the-job training period is often required for many new recruits, and forklift certification may be necessary.
Most professionals working in the position of loader in Canada see an annual salary ranging from about
$20,000 to
$40,000. However, those with experience with specialized equipment, particularly in major shipping ports, can see figures in excess of
$60,000 per annum.
