Industrial Engineer
An industrial engineer has the critical task of setting up, preparing and delivering standardized instructions for manufacturing equipment. The job holder is charge of maintaining the production data, such as rate routing, material master, production versions and bill of materials, within Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP).
The role supports the XFP/GB division for other specialized fields within industrial engineering and takes instruction from an industrial engineer supervisor. Maintenance of P-FEMAs, communication with any affected departments, and performing technical advancements from strategic analysis in order to cut TE time and maximize uptime of the machinery are all part of the job holder’s usual duties.
The expected education level is a diploma or a bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering along with FMEA training, SAP, MTM and a MTM-1 data licence. Three to five years’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
The average salary for an industrial engineer is C
$58,687 before profit sharing and any bonuses. Employment is generally most available in London, Ontario and British Columbia.
