Industrial Electrician
Industrial electricians are expected to install and maintain electrical components such as transformers and reactors. This position requires employees to troubleshoot when they encounter electrical problems and repair systems.
Applicants need a high school certificate and an Industrial Electrician Trade Certification. Another requirement may be an Industrial Red Seal Certificate. Applicants should be able to read, speak and write English at a high level.
Experience in this field is beneficial when applying for jobs. People employed in this position will be required to operate programmable logic controls. They will need to implement preventative maintenance programs and ensure that records are kept up to date. Other duties include reading blueprints and drawings.
Applicants should be able to work in a team and have good communication skills. They should have the ability to make decisions, think critically and solve problems. They need to have the skills to continue learning throughout their employment and be able to work with documents. An average salary for this position is C
$40,000.
