Environmental Science

As earth’s environment is changing at its most rapid rate in 10,000 years, mostly due to manmade causes, environmental science has become one of the most important and relevant career fields. Workers in this field study environmental problems, such as pollution, and attempt to find solutions through science.
These scientists also analyse the safety of soil, air, water, and other natural resources in addition to making and enforcing environmental protection laws. Although much of this work occurs in offices and laboratories, outdoor field work opportunities are also frequent.
Some environmental scientists focus on environmental work within other specialist fields. Environmental biologists work to protect plants and animals, while environmental chemists determine how certain chemicals may harm the environment.
However, all environmental science positions require university degrees, preferably graduate degrees, in either environmental science or other science fields such as physics, earth science, geography, chemistry, or biology. Law classes are also recommended for environmental law careers. Jobs in this rapidly expanding field pay between around C39,000 and C
$69,650 each year.
