Electronics Technician

The disciplines of electronics technician vary greatly, from those working with computers in an office, to those working in field positions. In general, they repair, maintain and perform safety checks on all electronic equipment, ensuring they are up to date with the latest industry and government guidelines.
As the role varies greatly depending on the type of technician, there are many duties, ranging from testing equipment and troubleshooting problems, to soldering and preparing specific components. As technology is ever-changing, the job holder will need to keep constantly up-to-date with the latest research, prices and parts availability.
The prospective candidate should posses as analytical mind that is capable of logical problem solving. Additionally, as the role holder often works with extremely small components, a fine attention to detail and dexterity is essential.
Employers will expect the candidates to hold vocational training in electronics; however, the most attractive candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in this field. The average salary for this position is C
