Customer Service Manager

The leader who oversees a team of employees who have regular contact with customers is known as a customer service manager. They work in all kinds of industries, from technology to retail.
A manager’s main job is to ensure a company’s employees are working as a team to make the business more profitable. They are often in charge of interviewing, hiring and training employees within their department. Scheduling, setting sales goals and dealing with customer complaints are important parts of this job. Sometimes bookkeeping, answering phones, filing and other mundane tasks are required.
A customer service manager needs to have strong communication skills and be a good people person. They are leaders, so they must be dependable, energetic, resilient and comfortable supervising others. A knowledge of computers, phone systems and cash registers is helpful.
Most managers start out as representatives before being promoted to this supervisory role. Many have associate’s or bachelor’s degrees in marketing or advertising, along with some training in business management. A retail sales manager can earn C
$36,000 a year, but non-retail industries tend to pay much higher salaries.
