Contract Manager

The contract manager must effectively establish and sustain long-term working partnerships between a company and its vendors. This individual’s main role is to safeguard the capacity, cost, quality, and continuity of supplies in the long term.
Duties typically include identifying candidate suppliers, appraising proposed quotations, and selecting appropriate bidders. Also required is the management of all competitive bidding, as well as negotiation of contract terms and payment schedules.
This employee must ensure that all agreements are commercially advantageous. He/she is also expected to follow any economic developments in the market.
A candidate for this position should hold a BA or BS in a relevant field (i.e. business, economics, or administration). Experience in marketing and sales is also a plus, along with proficiency in English and local languages. Outstanding interpersonal skills are also a must, as well as time management and problem-solving abilities. A person working in this field can expect to make anywhere between C
$35,786 and C
$72,038 a year.
