Training Manager
Training managers create and maintain training systems to induct recently hired personnel into their company’s technical systems. Candidates must have an intricate knowledge of the technical systems involved, and a master’s in a related field is an asset.
Duties revolve around implementing, improving and maintaining a particular training program. The position holder must be aware of recent developments in training techniques and incorporate them into their own programs. If working in a particular field, like IT, keeping abreast of the latest IT developments is essential.
The job holder will supervise a team of trainers with whom regular meetings must be held in order to receive feedback about the training program. They will usually have responsibility for the training budget, and should analyze the trainees’ progress.
The job requires an excellent communicator and a person with an ability to transfer knowledge in a way that is easy to understand for fellow trainers and trainees. Writing skills must be of a high standard. Usual salaries are between C
$60,000 and C
$100,000.
