The role of a Qa manager is crucial in the software development process. The role involves heading a team of testers and possibly a Qa analyst in conducting the test of software prior to its release to the general public, fixing any errors and determining the useability of the product.
A Qa manager’s role is to oversee the testing and analysis, and to ensure that the testing and evaluations are conducted in a timely and effective manner. They will then present this information back to the software development team, who will make adjustments, edits and rectify any errors.
The position requires the candidate to possess multiple skills, including a strong background within the IT industry. An emphasis on management skills is needed in order to manage deadlines and budgetary requirements of the testing phase.
