Network Engineer

Computer communication networks are vital if organizations, as well as individuals within them, are to effectively communicate with one another. They must be installed, maintained, and supported efficiently by a network engineer.
Whether working as part of a company's IT support team or for an IT consultancy firm with a vast array of clients, the role requires the job holder to have relevant education and experience.
Other job titles that refer to this type of work include support engineer, network administrator, first-line support, IT security engineer and network architect. Work is influenced by the size of the employing organization but knowledge of LANs, MANs, WANs, and GANs is required regardless.
