It Director

The operations of a business' It department must be overseen by an It director, an individual handed the responsibility of administering an It budget, as well as the physical facilities of a department.
An It director is expected to develop information technology strategies that support a company's core objectives, be accountable for the mentoring and overall career development of each member of staff within an It department, define and seek approval for the amount of It resources needed, and make sure that goals are being achieved while sticking to a tight schedule. These tasks and various others make people management and an ability to work under pressure a necessity, with most companies preferring candidates with proven experience when it comes to senior It management roles.
While jobs are available in Burlington and Montreal, most vacancies for this role are on offer in the western cities of Saskatoon, Calgary, and Vancouver. The median salary is around C
$80,000.
