Field Engineer
The specialist field engineer is required to manage the asset data from projects and operations out in the field. Experience in identifying risks in a variety of projects, suggesting solutions and liaising with the operations and maintenance engineers will be necessary. Due to the nature of the job, the candidate must be flexible with working times as and when a project requires.
Skills which are necessary include exceptional computer skills, knowledge and experience of MS Word/MS Office, the ability to read and interpret P&IDs drawings and create strategies for risk management, and data entry.
A field engineer will be required to physically attend sites and travel to sites around the country. Knowledge of SAP and the ability to perform cost estimates, field inspections, technical support for division managers, as well as to keep within the specified budgets set by management will show cost-effectiveness, which is preferred.
Depending on the level of experience and qualifications, a person in this role can expect to earn from C
$45,500 up to C
$61,200 for more senior positions. Bonuses and overtime can inflate the salary depending on time served.
