Facilities Manager

The prestigious role of facilities manager ensures the day-to-day running of a business. The candidate is required to explore business needs, ensure targets are met by management, and oversee accounts and employees. There is a need for a proactive approach to determining whether all business aspects are running efficiently, with understanding of technical issues and proposing, and an ability to implement new procedures to facilitate a smooth-running workplace being important.
The facilities manager will look after contracts, both staff based and production based, as well as authorize variations and govern existing contracts. Occasionally, they will be required to create, develop and carry-out on-off projects. A high level of qualification is needed in facilities-related disciplines, with typical requirements being a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar or equally demanding role.
There must be extensive interaction with customers and clients, and a strong rapport is needed for this. Ultimately, the ability to plan, organize and see through a project or contract is needed. The average annual salary is in the region of C
$61,166.
