District Manager
A district manager works in a variety of industries in order to ensure a geographical region of a company is reaching its goals with regards to sales, profit, customer service and investments. District mangers need strong organisational and communication skills and must command authority.
Duties include reviewing the district’s merchandise presentation, expenses and loss prevention strategies. Job holders are required to hire new staff and may be involved with firing also. Educational requirements are usually a university degree in a related field, and applicants should have experience in the industry. District managers are often chosen from within the company as this position requires a broad knowledge of how the company operates.
Applicants need to show strong leadership skills and the ability to work with a team. Candidates should have team building and conflict resolution skills also. Knowledge of training, mentoring and coaching are necessary for this job position. Candidates should be able to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines. Salaries are in the range of C
