Demolition
Demolition workers perform duties such as helping with the demolishing of buildings and the cleaning up of building sites. Demolition workers are required to salvage materials and to remove debris from sites. They are required to have a driving license and should have their own transportation in order to travel to different locations.
There are no educational requirements for this position although applicants are required to be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English. Employment can be found at commercial, residential and industrial sites.
Candidates should possess the skills to operate reciprocating, circular and concrete saws as well as sledgehammers and drills. Applicants should be in good physical condition and be capable of working with weights of up to 45kgs.
The job is physically demanding in an outdoor environment and workers may be asked to operate at heights. Workers are required to work in a fast-paced setting in order to meet deadlines. They will have to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads. Persons in this role can expect to earn around C
$30,000 per annum.
