Case Manager

Case managers are driven by their desire to help individuals on a case-by-case basis. In the non-profit sector, they are employed to help individuals identify the services a charity can offer them in order to improve their quality of life.
At entry level, the role requires the candidate to have a high school diploma at the least, although supervisors will need a lot of experience and to have taken additional training to be selected. The main duties of this position are to take vulnerable people and, working alongside them, come up with ways for the NPO to help them. This could be something as straightforward as helping a client find long-term accommodation.
The case manager will also help develop the life-skills of clients in accordance with the services the NPO can provide. Liaising with outside organisations in order to help clients is an important aspect of the role. Finally, they should raise awareness of their services amongst those who need to use them. This role requires a motivated individual with strong communication skills who wants to help those less fortunate. The salary for this role is C
$45,000 on average.
