Business Systems Analyst
A business systems analyst plays a key role within an organization in terms of the business systems which are put in place. The job holder must have a thorough understanding of the business they are working for and be able to deploy the most suitable business systems and technology to support staff.
A business systems analyst is expected to supply management with solutions to their business problems in all areas and at all levels of the organization. They should have an excellent grasp of the banking sector and the specific business environment of the organization and be able to translate business needs into technical solutions. The ability to communicate and cooperate between technical teams and users within the business is paramount.
The job holder’s responsibilities include investigating work-around solutions and implementing review strategies, and laying foundations for the implementation of new or revised business solutions.
The skill set required for this role includes excellent problem-solving, communication, data and modelling skills. A bachelor’s degree is usually a requirement for this role and any experience within the banking and loans sector will provide a distinct advantage.
The average salary for this role is around C
$50,000; however, it is possible to earn as much as C
$73,000 in some banking organizations.
