Brand Manager

Identity is essential for any product in the modern era's competitive marketplace and a brand manager is primarily concerned with making sure that a lasting impression is made among consumers, while improving product sales and all-important market shares.
A brand manager must monitor market trends and will oversee advertising and marketing activities in an attempt to ensure an client's intended message is delivered for the product or service being offered. Teams made up of product developers, creative agencies, and researchers must be worked with closely while working for both consultancies and marketing departments.
Normally, persons in this role work within normal office hours but must be prepared to sacrifice some evenings and weekends if deadlines are to be met. To be successful within this role, good analytic skills are required while being a good listener and someone who is able to respond to consumer research and results. Excellent verbal and written communication is essential, as well as enthusiasm about the product that is being marketed.
In Canada, the median salary for this role is around C
$45,000. With experience and career progression, however, this figure could top C
$90,000.
