  I’m in desperate need of a job and I thought becoming an electrician could be easy and there will always be work to do somewhere. The thing is that I don’t know any electricians, if you are currently earning a living from it please let me know any requirements when it comes to personality and or lifestyle?

• Self-employed electricians? I need electricians advice Shawn 25-Jan-2017

  Hello I’m studying to be an apprentice electrician and someone told me that he demand is decreasing and that the number of electricians are increasing. As of now I am not sure if I should be self-employed. Initially that was my plan, that’s what I wanted to do, but now for what I can see it’s better not to. I feel that if someone hires you and you are in a good company you’ll always find work because us, electricians, are employed in a wide range of industries plus benefits packages are always attractive and working for yourself can take more time and you’ll earn less. It’s also true that you get to be more independent but.. I don’t know. This is my story and my thoughts. What do you guys think? Is it worth it to go self-employed? Are you an electrician? If so what are the top 5 tips you’d give to someone who is getting in this industry?
